Another name for Stegodyphus dufouri is the desert spider. This species belongs to the genus Stegodyphus, which includes velvet spiders distributed from Africa to Europe and Asia. dufouri is found in North and West Africa.
They are arboreal.  Cocoa fiber, cork bark, moss, and some sticks is what they require.  They do not need to be misted.  Ever.  EVER.
